Covid-19
Following the declared pandemic of Covid-19 (Coronavirus) we wish to inform our guests of the measures we are taking to maintain public health and safety.
Our actions.
A deep hygiene clean was undertaken in each property. Housekeeping is instructed to carry out additional cleaning of all hard and touchable surfaces, door handles, remote controls etc. using anti-bacterial cleaners.
After each stay all bedding and towels are cleaned in a commercial laundry. Each flat is then made up with fresh bedding and towels. Duvets and pillows will be rotated on each departure. To help protect our housekeepers we request guests remove all bed linen on the day of departure and place used bed linen and towels in the laundry bag provided.
Millport Holiday Flats is registered with Check In Scotland and you will find a QR code located within each flat. Please scan the code to ‘check-in’ upon arrival and remember to ‘check-out’ on your departure.
Your actions.
The Scottish Government confirmed that Greater Cumbrae is now in Level 2 restrictions. If you live in an area with higher level restrictions you should only travel to the island for essential purposes.
The Scottish Government announced that rapid coronavirus (COVID-19) tests will be made available to anyone in Scotland and to those planning travel to the islands. The Scottish Government recommends that anyone planning to travel to the island order a free home test kit online. The first test should be taken three days before travel and the second on the day of departure. By testing you can identify if you have coronavirus and then isolate at home in order to protect our vulnerable island community, and your friends and family.
In line with NHS Scotland advice, guests should wash their hands regularly for more than 20 seconds using soap and hot water. We ask all guests to maintain increased levels of handwashing, hygiene and cleaning of kitchen and bathroom surfaces during their stay. Anti-bacterial hand-wash, cleaners and tissues will be supplied to each property. Please use them appropriately.
Should you become unwell during your stay or suspect you have Covid-19 symptoms please contact your doctor, NHS 24 by dialling 111, www.nhs24.scot or www.nhsinform.scot. In order to help protect our guests and staff we request that if you receive a positive Covid-19 test result during your stay or within 10 days of your departure that you inform us immediately by email or telephone
